Resomix enforces a two-layer rate limiting system to protect platform stability and ensure high-availability guarantees.
Layer 1: Burst Protection (Requests Per Second)
Limits rapid bursts of requests from a single client.
- Burst Limits: Configured per second based on your subscription tier.
- Behavior: When exceeded, the server returns an
HTTP 429 Too Many Requestsstatus code with a standardRetry-After: <seconds>response header indicating how long to wait before trying again.
Response Body:
json // format_parameters{ "success": false, "error": "Rate limit exceeded" }
Layer 2: Monthly Quotas (Volume Limits)
Limits monthly overall consumption based on your subscription tier.
- Behavior: When exceeded, subsequent requests are blocked until the next billing cycle.
Response Body:
json // format_parameters{ "success": false, "error": "Monthly quota exceeded" }
Sandbox testing limits are significantly relaxed to facilitate frictionless integration validation, client-side load testing, and high-performance pipeline testing. Enforced rate limits apply solely to staging and production keys issued via contract.
